Welcome to Maria's Daycare!

Dear Parents and Guardians,

I welcome you and your family into my heart and my home. I strive to meet your child's physical, intellectual and emotional needs. Patience, sharing, responsibility, compassion for self and others, communication and teamwork will be practiced through participation in the daily routine of the home.

I am a licensed child care provider through the State of California and have special training in early childhood development. In case of an emergency, I am also certified with CPR and First Aid skills. My child care is for children birth to six years. I am open Monday through Friday.

I am constantly trying to make myself a better person. I will use my knowledge and experience to offer stimulating and developmental activities when your child is ready for them. The activities I have in my daycare are: outdoor play, musical movements, arts, crafts, sensory activities (finger painting, sad and water play, etc.), reading, building materials (blocks, Legos), dolls and lots of laughs, hugs and love.

Every day the children have free time inside and outside. I think play is an important key where children discover for themselves what we cannot teach them. Children at play are busy people: building up knocking down, making happen. Exploring, pretending, creating, asking why, finding out, understanding play. Nothing is more exciting for a child than to be able to say, "I did it myself!"

My commitment to you starts with your commitment to me. For this support system to thrive, we must have open, honest communication. Please feel free to share concerns, problems and situations that affect you and your child, as I will share mine with you.

To help my family childcare home operate smoothly, you will need to comply with my policies and contract.
