About Maria's Dayare

Philosophy

My philosophy in my childcare is to treat all the children equally and meet all of their needs. We provide a positive and creative environment for a first group experience for young children. We want to foster our children's acceptances of the individual differences in people as they develop a positive image of themselves. Most of all, Maria's Daycare wants to maintain an atmosphere where the children can discover the joy of learning about themselves and their world.

Goals

My goals are:

  • To allow children to grow and develop at their natural pace, while teaching them new skills when they are ready.
  • To prepare their environment and allow children to choose a variety of activities designed to help them learn new things.
  • To keep in mind the goals of school readiness when planning their preschool activities.
  • To provide many opportunities each day and to encourage healthy, loving social interactions so that each child will be happy and successful in the present and in the future.
  • To encourage a warm partnership between my child care home and the families of the children in my care.
  • I promote bilingual skills, therefore children will hear, speak and read in Spanish and English.
